DDI Solutions for Cloud Architects
Judiciously manage your IPv4/IPv6 subnets, IP assignments and DNS information across multiple clouds with Diamond IP’s automation appliances and REST API
DDI on your terms
Whether you’re deploying as much infrastructure in the cloud as you can, leveraging the cloud for supplemental capacity, or still considering your cloud options, you’ll need solid DDI. The cloud moves your network edge from a centralized DMZ closer to your branches and remote sites, optimizing application performance and improving your users’ experience.
Vast deployment variety
Diamond IP offers you full flexibility in deploying your core DHCP/DNS/IPAM (DDI) network services to support cloud deployments. You can deploy DDI services as virtualized appliances on VMware, Microsoft Hyper-V, Xen Server or KVM/QEMU, or natively within AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and Oracle Cloud. You can likewise deploy Docker containers supporting DHCP/DNS services on-premises or in the cloud.
Automate IP and DNS assignments
In addition to deployment flexibility, our Sapphire Cloud Automation Appliance (CAA) facilitates DDI automation. When instantiating other cloud resources for example, leverage the CAA to assign and record their IP addresses and DNS names in IPControl, our IPAM system. The Sapphire CAA provides a Node Red graphical drag-and-drop user interface to enable you to define data flows from internal systems to cloud APIs and to your centralized IPControl IPAM database. This enables your IPAM inventory to remain in step with your elastic cloud activities in real time.
Multi-cloud single source of DDI truth
IPControl serves as the single source of truth as well as address assignment authority. Conversely, if you prefer to auto-assign via your cloud API you can update IPControl accordingly. And flows for cloud discovery enable you to track subnet and IP assignments and reconcile discrepancies over time to retain accuracy and accountability.
Manage internal and external DNS together
Diamond IP’s IPControl IPAM and CAA systems also allow you to manage your external DNS domains, zones and resource records in IPControl. This allows you to manage all of your DNS zones and resources in the single consistent IPAM system and deploy zones and resource records to in-house Microsoft, ISC Cisco Prime Network Registrar, or Sapphire DHCP/DNS servers, as well as leading DNS cloud providers including Akamai, Route53, and Google DNS.
Diamond IP brings it all together
In summary, Diamond IP supports DDI implementation within the cloud and DDI automation for the cloud and your entire network. Diamond IP vastly simplifies initialization and ongoing management and tracking of IP address assignments while providing you a single pane of glass for all your IP address space, not only in the cloud, but across your LAN/WAN/SDWAN and other network domains.
