VitalQIP DDI Appliances

VitalQIP is a leading DDI product which can be deployed as software or as hardened pre-installed hardware and virtual appliances. Enjoy the benefits of one-stop shopping, centralized control, and flexible deployment on premises or in the cloud.

Centralized appliance monitoring and configuration

The QIP Appliance Manager enables administrators to configure and manage distributed QIP appliances from a centralized interface. Available as an appliance itself or software, the QIP Appliance Manager maintains an inventory of deployed appliances, tracking of appliance services versions, applying patches and rollbacks, and monitoring and probing of DHCP and DNS services running on QIP appliances.

Cost-effective DDI lifecycle management

QIP appliances provide the convenience and simplicity of one-stop shopping for secure hardware or virtual appliances, installed with VitalQIP DDI software at an affordable price. QIP appliances are robust, hardened platforms that are configured and monitored via the QIP Appliance Manager. DDI configuration information is deployed from your centralized VitalQIP Enterprise Server to provide a mix and match of deployed hardware and virtual DDI appliances from a single interface.

Abundant platform choices

QIP appliances are available as virtual appliances for a variety of private and public clouds, and as hardware platforms of four varieties. Our hardware platforms enable selection of affordable mid-range DHCP/DNS appliances to scalable dual-power, lights-out management, enterprise class DDI appliances with or without RAID-10, to ultra-performant carrier-class DDI appliances available in AC or DC NEBS-compliant versions, offering you maximum deployment flexibility.

Automated Enterprise Server Failover

The QIP Enterprise Server Manager (ESM) Disaster Recovery feature (ESM-DR) provides active monitoring of a pair of QIP ESM appliances. The database is replicated from the primary ESM to the standby ESM. The ESM-DR monitors its peer in the ESM pair and automatically initiates a failover from the primary ESM to the standby ESM upon detection of a primary failure condition.
