CYGNA DDI APPLIANCES
Enjoy the benefits of one-stop shopping, centralized control, and flexible deployment on premises or in the cloud with Cygna VitalQIP appliances.
Cygna VitalQIP appliances are available as virtual appliances for a variety of private and public clouds, and as hardware platforms in four configurations. These platforms range from affordable mid-range DHCP/DNS appliances, to scalable dual-power, lights-out-management, enterprise-class DDI appliances with or without RAID-10, to ultra-performant carrier-class DDI appliances, giving you maximum deployment flexibility. VitalQIP appliances are also available in the AWS and Azure marketplaces.
The Cygna Appliance Manager enables administrators to configure and manage distributed VitalQIP appliances from a centralized interface. It maintains an inventory of deployed appliances, tracks appliance service versions, applies patches and rollbacks, and monitors and probes the DHCP and DNS services running on VitalQIP appliances.
Cygna VitalQIP appliances are available pre-packaged with Cygna DHCP and DNS services or with a primary or backup Enterprise Server. The Cygna DHCP server is the industry’s highest-performing with lease rates topping 30,000 leases per second. The Cygna DNS server builds upon and extends the ISC BIND services to provide robust, production-proven reliability.
Cygna VitalQIP appliances provide the convenience and simplicity of one-stop shopping for secure hardware or virtual appliances, installed with VitalQIP DDI software at an affordable price. While DDI configuration information is deployed from your centralized VitalQIP Enterprise Server, which is also available in appliance form, the Cygna Appliance Manager centralizes appliance-level configurations and package upgrades.
The Cygna VitalQIP Enterprise Server Manager (ESM) Disaster Recovery feature (ESM-DR) provides active monitoring of a pair of VitalQIP ESM appliances. The database is replicated from the primary ESM to the standby ESM. The ESM-DR monitors its peer in the ESM pair and automatically initiates a failover from the primary ESM to the standby ESM upon detection of a primary failure condition.
